The Eagles' active leader in receptions will be back in Philadelphia in 2026, as the team reportedly signed tight end Dallas Goedert on Sunday.

Goedert, 31, will be returning on a one-year, $7 million contract, per terms acquired by ESPN.

The team's active receptions leader with 409 over an eight-year run in Philadelphia, Goedert led the Eagles with 11 touchdown receptions while snatching 60 receptions for 591 yards a season ago.

The Eagles and Goedert had been working on a deal for several weeks, delaying his entrance into free agency in order to avoid a $20 million cap hit in dead money.

Philadelphia has been rumored to be shopping wide receiver A.J. Brown this offseason, and a deal with Goedert gives the team more flexibility to make a trade with Brown. A trade of Brown prior to June 1 would result in a cap hit of more than $40 million, though that number shrinks to about $20 million should a trade happen after that date.

Goedert agreed to a restructured deal a season ago, dropping his salary from $14 million to $10 million.

A former second-round pick, Goedert has amassed 4,676 receiving yard and 35 touchdowns over his career.
